DOMINIKA ZEMBERYOVA

Dominika’s journey in FIRE Restaurant and The Conference and Events Venue started in 2012 when she joined the establishment as a waitress and shortly moved on to the Reservations Team.
In 2014 she was promoted to Head Receptionist and led the Reservations Team since the beginning of 2015, acting as a Reservations Manager overlooking the reservations for the restaurant, daytime meetings, receptions etc. Dominika has worked as Event Manager and was most recently promoted to Business Development Manager. Dominika’s extensive knowledge and experience of The Conference and Event Venue product makes her an invaluable asset to the team and clients alike.


 SO LET’S GET TO KNOW HER…

Can you give us a  brief summary of your career to date?

It feels like I grew up in FIRE and The Conference and Events Venue?  I joined the FIRE Restaurant team in 2012, working at reception and shortly got promoted to Reservations Manager, then Event Manager and now I am enjoying my job as Business Development Manager for The Conference and Events venue.

What was it about the Events Industry that attracted you?

The versatility of it – every day is completely different, you get the opportunity to work with clients from different cultures & countries which is very exciting. Not to mention the amount of daily adrenaline you get as a bonus!

What does a typical day as an Event Coordinator at The Conference and Events Venue look like?

Most of the time I deal with agents, DMC’s and corporate clients, and focus a lot of time on ensuring we are maximising our booking potential in the Round Room and our meeting spaces.

What do you find most rewarding?

Nothing compares to the feeling after an event when you see happy clients who cannot wait to come back!

What is your biggest achievement to date – personal or professional?

I was very proud when I graduated with a 1st Hons degree in Business Management last year as it was quite challenging to balance out work, college, and a social life for four years.

If you could be involved with any event or venue, what would it be?

It would be interesting to organise an exclusive gala dinner for the Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi for example ?

Is there a motto or personal mantra you live your life by?
